Scottish Highland Cattle are an ancient breed of cattle prized for their lean beef.

Here at Broughton Farm our cattle are bred as stud animals and as such are sold to other breeders to establish quality folds of these magnificent animals.

We currently have 36 cattle, of which 25 are our breeding fold. These cattle were bred from imported bloodlines from Scoland. It has been our aim to use the best possible bloodlines from a wide variety of bulls.

We are proud of the results of our breeding programme and we are happy to take guests on a stroll amongst the cattle and answer any questions. The famous long coat and huge horns are striking features of these cattle. They are hardy beasts and do well on rough pastures, so they excel on the lush pastures of Jindivick. To see the Scottish Highland Cattle on a hillside amongst the most beautiful scenery in Australia is a heart warming experience.
